Betty Cares Foundation

Bringing dignity and comfort to women in crisis

Our parent company, Sass Clothing, is passionate about giving back to the community and supporting women in need.  Betty Cares Foundation was established in 2018, following the success of Sass Clothing's partnership donating clothing items to the Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne.

The simple gift of giving clothing items, evolved into the Betty Cares Foundation and the clothing packs we donate today.

Betty Cares Foundation donates clothing packs to hospitals, refuge centres and organisations caring for women in crisis, across Australia and New Zealand. The women receiving the clothing packs are often victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, pregnancy complications, drug addiction, alcoholism or homelessness.

Betty Cares Foundation is funded through a donation of a percentage of sales of the Betty Basics Essentials clothing range.

Sass Clothing truly values the positive influence that comfortable and well-made clothing can have on women, and through the Betty Cares Foundation, can share this with vulnerable women in need.

The first step to a more positive future can be the smallest of gestures.

"The sense of well-being and dignity that comfortable, well-made clothing can make for women is immeasurable"

Penelope Vye

Chief Social Worker

Royal Women's Hospital Melbourne

We are working to expand our healthcare partner network throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Betty Cares clothing packs are for women in crisis, without support or access to their own clothing.

If you represent a hospital or refuge centre - apply to become a Betty Cares Foundation healthcare partner and access free clothing packs for your most vulnerable patients.
